Teddy bears have always been a popular toy for generations, dating back to the early 20th century. Ever since Teddy Roosevelt gave rise to our love of these soft toys, teddy bears have been portrayed in so many different ways - especially in literature, film and television.
Some may argue that toy bunny rabbits are just as popular as teddy bears - and it’s no surprise why. From Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, to Beatrix Potter, and even Watership Down, bunny rabbits have always played an important role in children’s literature and popular culture. So many people grew up with these iconic stories, that bunny rabbits hold a very special place in people’s hearts - just as much as teddy bears.
But why do bunny rabbits and teddy bears go so well together? We like to think the magic of bears and bunnies started with the publication of the legendary Winne-The-Pooh stories by A A Milne in 1926. It was the second book The House at Pooh Corner which introduced Pooh Bear’s friends: Eeyore, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Tigger and of course, Rabbit. Why do we love rabbits and bears so much?
There is one thing that both of these adorable animals have in common, and that is their soft cuddly fur and cute tails and ears. Not to mention that as soft toys they offer unconditional love, security and companionship.
